ANTIQUE 16-17C TURKISH IZNIK TILE FRAGMENTS KUTAHYA OTTOMAN
These are two authentic Iznik fragments dating to the past due sixteenth – early seventeenth century. Even if rather small, each and every preserves the phenomenal colours and design that characterizes this ware and which makes it amongst essentially the most fascinating of all Middle Japanese pottery. The bigger of the 2 fragments measures a few four-3/four” X 3″ in width. The second one fragment is more or less 3-1/2″ X 2″. Each fragments display the highly fascinating and unique “sealing wax red” found within the genuine ceramics from this era.
