In some environments walls can make barking dog alarm have a shorter range of detection. The motion sensor has a wireless range of 300 feet. So if the barking dog alarm is inside of the 300 foot range then the motion sensor will connect with the barking dog alarm.***

** Stucco homes on a regular basis have a heavy gauge chicken wire or expanded metal lath that may be applied to the exterior to hold the stucco to the sheathing. Unfortunately, this metal is sufficient to potentially disrupt the alarm’s microwave signal.

** Low-E windows have an invisible coating of metal on the glass that may disrupt the alarm’s signal.

** Try moving the unit closer to the glass. They’re designed to be up against the glass or wall. You will have to also raise it a foot so the metal at the bottom of the door doesn’t interfere. Also remember to stretch the adapter and cord out so They’re as far away from the unit as allowed.

** If you’re taking the unit and make adjustments to the sensitivity you will have to get a longer range out of the detection or more sensitive. If you also take the unit and test it in an open area. You will have to definitely see a difference in the range.

** Each location is different when installing the barking dog alarm base unit. The materials the home is made out of will have an effect on the distance it can detect through the walls. If you want something to detect at a longer distance we would suggest to install the Out of doors motion sensors out of doors to cover the desired area. This will then set off the main unit instead of detecting through the wall directly.

** In windy conditions, we suggest removing or securing any tree branches or loose material that may be in range of the motion sensor (not included with this item). Possibly relocating to a different position could help too.

The barking dog alarm and the Out of doors siren horn are separate and will not connect to one another. They are going to both work with the motion sensors or the remote Keep an eye on. What you would do is connect the motion sensors to both units. You are going to also connect the remote from the barking dog alarm unit to the Out of doors siren. This is so you’ll arm the barking dog and the Out of doors siren. Once They’re armed and connected to the same motion sensors they would both be set off at the same time.
